Artist Statement

My impression of art started with drawing tiny flowers and smiley faces on my mother's tablecloth. It was Dance that helped me bring my doodles and ideas to life. I am infatuated by the constant redefining images of dance. Motivated by the human experience, emotions, and culture, Dance has proven to be a cathartic tool for me as a dance maker. My choreographic work stems from personal life experiences, offering connections and prompting questions. Technique strength opens up my vocabulary to say what words cannot and brings opportunities for authentic artistry. Through performance and community work, I desire to create spaces safe and encourage others to have experiences that build relationships with the magic of Dance.
